Thanks to Ogawa-san and other people for testing the kanji code.
I found a problem as a CIT-600 terminal user.

In the current discussion, shift in from Kanji 16bit to JIS 8bit
is mainly concerned. BUT, what kind of terminals you usually
use ? If you use a terminal which supports both ASCII and JIS
(I believe this is the most popular case), which mode do you
prefer ?

I use ASCII mode and hate the YEN-sign is dislayed instead of
backslash. Especially for TeX user, backslash is important but
YEN-sign is not.

Why don't you use " shift in to ASCII" instead of " shift in to JIS" .

For old (or mis-understood) JIS terminals, " shift in to ASCII"
works in many cases.

How do you think of this idea ?
